I like organizing things. Here are some of the projects I'm involved with at the moment. If you see anything you like, get in touch!
Oxford Workshops on Global Priorities Research
(w/Rossa O'Keeffe-O'Donovan), ongoing
About: The Global Priorities Institute hosts three annual workshops at Oxford on global priorities research. We are especially interested in work that overlaps with the institute's research agenda, particularly research on longtermism.
Our practice is to run an open call for attendees as often as we are able, posted jointly to the institute's website as well as to PhilEvents. You can read more about our workshops here, and if you're interested in learning more I'd encourage you to fill out an expression of interest here.
Early Career Inquiry Network
(w/Arianna Falbo), ongoing
About: The Early Career Inquiry Network aims to support early-career scholars (roughly: within 7 years of PhD) working on inquiry.
We run a work-in-progress group that meets on Zoom every two weeks. If you're interested in learning more, shoot me an email, or sign up for our mailing list here.
Bayesianism and Its Rivals
About: This workshop will bring together prominent Bayesians and their critics from philosophy, cognitive science, and neighboring disciplines. We'll have talks by: Sarah Aronowitz, Vincenzo Crupi, Fiery Cushman, Ralph Hertwig, Zoe Jenkin, LA Paul, and Katya Tentori. We may have some places available for nonspeaking participants, but it is too early to tell for sure (COVID: begone!). We gratefully acknowledge funding from the Provostial Fund for the Arts and Humanities at Harvard University.
